Ruth picked Roxie out as I had come down with food poisoning and was stuck in the hotel room. But as it turned out she’s exactly what I wanted! Flashy, spunky, intelligent and boy does she have a set of wheels!
Roxie started running puppy stakes at one of the last field trials in the spring 2006 field trial season. Her first trial earned her a 4th place in puppy, but her range and independence had me floored. We spent the entire summer conditioning, working birds and just having fun. Of course anyone that’s run bitches knows its hard to campaign them due to their heat cycle. Going into the start of the fall season Roxie came in season.
